Why drivers get stuck

Long travel histories need patient, careful work

  • Hundreds of US trips that must all be listed as absences
  • Consultants who decline files with too many entries
  • Day counts that don't match border records, which can trigger extra questions
  • Missing or incomplete records for older trips

How I handle your file

  • Help you request your official Canadian and US travel records
  • Enter each trip you provide, one by one, without shortcuts
  • Cross check dates with your logbook, dispatch records and pay stubs
  • Confirm you have a safe buffer above the 1,095 day minimum before you apply

Questions

Common questions

How many days do I need for citizenship?

Adults generally need at least 1,095 days of physical presence in Canada during the 5 years before signing the application, with at least 730 days as a permanent resident. IRCC recommends applying with more than the minimum. See IRCC citizenship eligibility.

Do I really have to list every trip to the US?

Yes. Every absence from Canada in the eligibility period should be listed accurately, even short trips. That is exactly the work many applicants and consultants find overwhelming, and the work I do carefully.

Where do I get my travel history?

You can request Canadian entry records from the CBSA through an access to information request, and US entry records from US Customs and Border Protection. Your logbooks and employer records help fill gaps.

What if my records have gaps or mistakes?

We compare all your sources and explain any differences honestly. Accuracy matters more than speed, because incorrect information can delay or harm your application.

Do I need to take the citizenship test?

Applicants aged 18 to 54 on the day they sign must meet language requirements and take the citizenship test. I explain what to expect.

Can you guarantee approval?

No licensed consultant can. Decisions are made by IRCC. I promise careful, accurate preparation and honest advice.

Ready to talk about your application?

Send a message with your name, your PR date and roughly how often you cross the border. I'll reply with available appointment times.
